Title: Pagoda Purchase Completed

Hi All,
After a year of extensive searching I finally was able to find a 1969 280 SL (pic attached). The transaction was completed and the car will be on the boat for the 5 week journey from Houston to Dubai. I am looking forward to owning my first Pagoda.
I would like to thank all of you who answered my various questions especially at the begining before I became somewhat familiar with these cars.
I would like to particularly thank Doug Kim who was kind enough and patient enough to answer my novice questions. Doug and I were in regular contact for the great part of this past year. He was extremely helpful in pointing out the week points and the strong points of several potiential buys. He even took the time to examine one car for me in the New York area. I truely appreciate it. The only thing I regret is letting Doug's silver Pagoda slip by!
I look forward to receiveing the car here in Dubai sometime in the first half of October when the heat has somewhat subsided here.
Cees...you will finally get a picture of a Pagoda with Dubai plates on it  :)

Mo, Tidy looking motor!
Good luck, I personally know that the traffic in Dubai is much like the traffic in Houston! (especially when it rains!!!) :D

Well thats 2 pagodas moving over the oceans to new homes

I hope you can take the poster photos right when the car arrives, because the deadlines are fast approaching. It would be great to have you in the poster.

And Malc, no plans to use the Pagoda on the dunes...the Cherokee is doing very well in that department.
