Title: Question on W113 wheels

I am looking to buy new set of wheels for W113 280SL however in SL113 technical manual, it mentioned that 108 400 14 02 (6Jx14) does not fit with W113.  Does anyone know why it does not fit?

I think they will fit (same dimensions and offset etc.), but they never came as original on Pagodas. This is why the manual says "no" in the table. These wheels are commonly found on the late W108 cars. They have holes all round, but this will be hidden by the hubcaps.

Sorry, picture is not very sharp but all wheels on this car are from a 108.
