I have just reactivated by Frigiking A/C system on my 1965 230 SL. This took some doing and was after a new blower, new compressor, R-134 conversion, new expansion valve and receiver. The A/C works fine and cools nicely in the cabin. Problem that I've discovered is that the water condensate leaks into the car.
Looking at the drain tubing that goes to the drainage outlet through the firewall, it appears that there is a vertical rise that the drainage needs to overcome and thus the leakage inside. Has anyone seen this before and what fix would you recommend?
My Euro mechanic is recommending cutting a new drainage hole in the passenger floor panel to correct this.
Regards and thanks,

On my car, the condensate goes out thru a hose at the top of the rh kick panel. I never looked more closely but I always assumed the water drains to the exterior at the wheel well, or thru the floor between the inner panel and the outer. On my set up, the hose is constantly pitched down. There is no vertical rise.
Bearing in mind that most of these units were installed by the dealers ( and none by the factory) anything is possible.
