Title: W111 coupe door chrome question
Post by: scoot on July 25, 2014, 17:35:52
I am trying to identify the part in the picture.   I have been told that it is the chrome piece on the left door of a coupe, item 346 in the diagram attached.  Can a coupe owner confirm that the part is correct?  The (poor) image in the diagram makes the shape look different.

thanks
Scott

Well, I'm a Coupe owner and I went out checking before I answered you on the other thread.

Thanks.  I appreciate you checking, should have seen that you were a coupe owner.

Indeed that part is as advertised. I always thought that the end chrome of the door was one piece. Clearly there is an upper and a lower. Learned something new today!

Love this site!

Driver's side door on US cars to be specific. What is the smaller chrome bit tho, don't recall that on my car?

I've taken my interior door panels off at least 5 times per side for cleaning, greasing or repairs. Not really a bad job, like assembling a snap-together model.

I think the smaller part is a b-pillar cap for an Alfa spider....
thanks, problem solved.
