Hello Everyone


I enter in regularity rallies with my pagoda and my co pilot is a little annoyed by being tossed around in corners with all the time charts. so i want to put some sports seats in. I am trying to find a picture of the Bohringer cars interior. but I couldn't find much.
anyone with suggestions on choosing seats? or anyone with pictures of the Bohringer car? I think if I have good pictures I might replicate the seats in that car.

Sorry, I don't have the answer, but agree there must be info on the Bohringer car available here somehwere. Maybe someone can help?

These dont look like any brand i know. Looking at the handle in the front i guess they are on factory seats sliders. Can they be custom made by mercedes? Would they go through all the troble instead of getting a seat from a specialized manufacturer?

if the goal is to lower your pilot discomfort, the seats shown on the picture would - in my opinion - bring a very limited improvement compared to stock seats. Compared to the seats in late Pagodas (with headrests) they will even decrease security in some more extreme cases.

There is a black part behind the seat which I couldn't figure out what it is.

Flyair, you are right about safety. my car doesn't have the headrests originally and only has lap belts so it is not much different in that aspect. I have some headrests that slides on the back of the seats. I guess they were aftermarket safety pieces for early cars with out headrests. I'll take pictures of them and post them here sometime. The type of rallying that I do is not fast but you have to keep an average speed. so in many parts you may take a corner faster than you might normally do to keep the average speed.  sport seats would help in these situations with the side supports.

if I replicate these seats I would probably also built in headrests for them too.

or maybe I should just try to find something like scheel racing seats.

What was in the original red pig I wonder?
it is weird to me that mercedes sold it, then built a replica of it years later.

I know someone who rallies the Pagoda and used modern seats from an SLK in them. However, I've also seen monstrosities. Since there does not appear to be a standard, selecting a modern racing seat with classic looks might be your best bet. Like e.g. this one: http://www.sportseats4u.co.uk/cobra-stuttgart-reclining-classic-seat/prod_4178.html. They have others if you do not like the style.

Behind the seat there should be a fire extinguisher, and obviously the attachment for the two piece seatbelt harness.
