Title: My daughter's catch of the day in London
Post by: Flyair on May 07, 2014, 12:33:59
Yesterday (6th May) my daughter demonstrated once more her alertness re: Pagoda spotting :)

Here is what she caught on the streets of London. Any culprit?

Northbound on City Road, just south of what is becoming known as "Silicon Roundabout" but fogies like me know it as Old Street roundabout. Not my part of town so not guilty.

Stan, looks like my car only I'm in Little London Town (London, Ontario Canada). BTW I have to ask my daughter to do some spotting she will be in London, UK still until August . When I visited her in June 2012 we saw a lot of old timers :)

James,

that's the street indeed. Although the pics are not showing it very well (the car was really caught on the spot!), the colour could correspond to the grey blue like yours :)

The UK is by definition a reservoir of oldtimers, although mostly of the local provenience, so your daughter wouldn't have any problem to spot them around. Pagodas are different story, for being German cars and quite expensive at origin, they weren't a popular buy those days...

This time (last Thursday 15 May, 1 PM) my daughter spotted from her window another Pagoda parked in a very small backyard of a nearby office building. Not a greatest photo, but given the circumstances it deserves full attention, I guess :)

This makes three Pagodas she spotted in London and one in Paris... Nothing can escape.... :D

Your daughter has a good eye.

London is always a good place to spot them though, for some reason there seem to be quite a few in Suffolk where I bought mine.
