I looked in the search engine for seat belt mounting and location and saw some good info that dealt with what looked like 280sl and some 3 point mods. My question: Did the 1964 230sl have seat belts and if so where did they attach to the body?
Thanks, Ed Fisher, Dallas

I believe the common belief is that all W113's had the same mounting points built in from Day One. I don't have seat belts, so I can't describe where they all are.

Dan you may want to consider going to an enertia reel setup. I had this done on my car and have no regrets. I did not do the work myself, Gernold installed them for me. They are not authentic to the car but none the less it gives me a little peace of mind especially if I have my son in the car.

Yes, the early ones are prepared
too. Feel the holes through B-Post-
Cover. Also see two more holes when
removing tunnel carpet. They are
closed by thick plastic srews.
In no belts have been installed
before, one has to drill 2 extra
holes for 3-point aut. belts
(see pic.) on each side. German
"Autoflug" are about 185,35/Set.
For 2 point "airplane" belts with
chrome lock (about 198,28 Euro/Set)
in classic look one has to drill
1 hole only on each side.
See those two kinds of belts on
