Title: Heater
Post by: Filippo on April 10, 2014, 17:14:47
Hello,

as many of you, I have a problem with the internal heating of my SL 280.....

A month ago a checked and repaired all the system including the blower engine.

Now, with the blower switched on the heat comes both on the left hand side and on the right. With the blower switched off and driving let’s say at 60 mph: rights hand side lots of warm air. Left hand side fresh external air.......

How is this possible? I assumed that if warm air come in on the left hand side with the blower, this should happen also with the "forced" air. Correct?

Any ideas?

thanks

Filippo

Have you read the heater section in the technical. Manual.  I know I've seen an air flow diagram.  It may be in the owners manual.

unfortuantly I can't find a air flow diagram on the web........

Can it be that the flap is blocked? If yes, how can this be explained if warm air arrives with the blower switched on?

Thanks for the help

regards

Filippo

Turning blower on or off should have no effect on the air temperature only the volume that is pushed through.
