Title: Fresh air vents

HI Guys,
I bought a 1967 230sl last year and started working on several things that needs to be addressed. On my dash board I just need to clean and polish the chrome parts and I'm finding hard to remove the fresh air vents. I already removed the pad underneath, the lever and the connecting plastic hose…Still cannot remove.
Any help is appreciated.
