some more...including Pole Position at Monte Carlo

I guess these show that you fill a Pagoda with everything and still it remains beautiful...

Thank you for sharing these pictures! The third one was taken out of Gigean, in the direction of Beziers, on the National Road # 113, hence the name of the snack place. I know the area quite well, having grown up in the region and having worked in winemaking in the area while I was a student. this is a beautiful area, and back roads are certainly very well suited to enjoy a Pagoda with the top down. You must surely have had a good time on that trip!

You are right, everything goes, which is clearly proved on the photo number 3 :D

That trip was great, I drove to Scicily to work for a week. I took a week to drive there that time although used to do the Toulouse to London trip in 12 hours. This, all after having the axle changed. I'm sure my new car ( r129 ) will prove a good tourer but will never match the days I've had in the Pagoda. What a great car, if one uses it as it was bulit to be used. I ended up doing over 100,000 miles in mine.

GGR,
Some years ago, I had a few bottles of a very decent St Chinian from that place...

Wow! Sicily is certainly a long way! It must have been a fantastic trip! I rode on my motorbike a couple of times to Brindisi to catch the Ferry on my way to Greece and Turkey. Each time, I was struck by how long a journey it was. I also drove my DS from Paris to Rome the year when they did the Citroen gathering there. It was also a long trip. Fortunately we stopped over in Cinque Terre and then in Tuscany to cut the trip. Italy is a very long country! I like it very much though. We lived in Rome when I was a kid, and I consider Italy home a little bit. Who knows, I may end up going back living there one day.
100.000 miles in a Pagoda is quite a performance. I'm sure you must be very sad selling it.
Flyair: Yes St Chinian is just a little bit north of where I was working. A friend of mine was a wine maker and got me a job several years in a row during grape harvest period while I was still a student. When I was even younger my first paid job was grape harvesting, I was around 12 or 13. Not very legal as by then age limit was 16. Anyway, this is how I managed to pay for my first "mobylette", also before the legal age of 14.
