I have been cooped up in garage working on wife's 230sl couldn't take it, took the cover off of mine, I already had painted rims on ( I am repolishing the others) so figured "what the heck!" Car does great donuts... WOW fun! anyway cleaned her back up... into the corner she goes... PS wife saw what fun and she took for spin (donuts) herself, now she REALLY wants her car done!

You would look much more like the name predecessor if you drove in a softop down-open cabin configuration like him, but anyway i am impressed :) Hope you don't get any salt on these roads...
Thanks to the global reach of the forum we are able to experience very contrasting experiences: comparing your pictures and those sent by Garry from down-under in the post just before yours.

Snow days would be fun...its the SALT days that scare me.
BTW, what's the color code on your wife's car?
-
IT IS THE AWESOME original paint code
Paint Code 501
wasn't sure I would like it, when we got the car the repaint was very faded and I didn't think I would like it, wife was sure so we got original paint mixed up and WOW! it just pops

Hmmm...Orient Red....Don't know if I have ever seen that color in person. Looks great.

Orient red seems quite rare indeed. When looking at the Tech manual page http://www.sl113.org/wiki/DataCard/PaintCodes, the car shown there doesn't look as attractive as the one you are working on. It will be great to see the pictures once it is finished.
