A friend called me yesterday and was excited to tell me about his latest internet discovery. There is a snobby watch guy in Australia who makes videos and is all excited about the Pagoda. If some of you have not heard of him he goes by Archieluxury. I looked him up and sure enough on one of his videos he talks about the Pagoda being the ultimate luxury vehicle blah blah blah. The funny thing is that he tries to sound so knowledgable about the car but in the video where he starts his friend's car he is pumping the gas like an old chevy, grinding the starter and then saying that this car has to be left to idle for at least five minutes before you even consider driving it out of the garage. 5 minutes is a long time..I just take it easy for the first several blocjks as I watch my guages and sneak out of the neighbourhood.
If you are into high class watches check out his website - his taste in watches is well beyond my paygrade - the language is definately off colour and for sure headphone time - but is great entertainment as long as you don't take it at all seriously, especially if you cherish a Tag Heuer. I think I need some Loius Vutton luggage for the car and a Birkin bag for the spare oil, antifreeze, disposable gloves and rags in the trunk.

Ian,
If this is what you mentioned in your post...
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bgq8ZPuiYjI&feature=c4-overview-vl&list=PLOmwjMS-5El1ySWuxcBw8fe8HRdxB7dYM...
... then, it is one of the most "wannabe show off cheap stuff talk" I've ever seen ;)
The guy's comments are pseudo-scientific indeed, but the location, unprofessional shooting etc make the things ever worse.
Too bad that a Pagoda is his victim
BTW: for a car belonging to a multimillionaire, if I understood correctly, the engine bay looked rather multi-cheap...

Actually the clip I was referring to is this one.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SD5EOTQUQQY
One of many where he talks about the same car but in this one he starts it.

He, unfortunately, posted some more of his "productions" on YouTube.
The one you mentioned competes with the others for the title of the most pretentious, tasteless and cheap stuff about the Pagoda I've ever seen, but... let's grant him some positive points for efforts and stubbornness in talking about the car;)

I am almost positive that I am not the only one thinking..............he really needed a starting procedure tutorial. And right after that lesson, the hot start tutorial.
Essell

I agree with Essell, perhaps that fellow needs to stick to his knitting and sell them cheap watches :) Seriously, hope someone will tell him soon that this car loves to be driven and does not need a 5 minute warm up ;D

Juts had a look at the video again till the end. Then the youtube passed to the next one called Part 4.
I must say that my initial conclusions in my first post should be amended. Now I think that the guy is just a frustrated mentally challenged jerk. But I found his comments to Part 3 quite exhilarating.
Be patient and wait for the last part of the video where they guy becomes emotional. This Pagoda truly turned him on
BTW
I got compelled by his comments regarding the owner of the car who was his (former) employer. A good illustration of what people think of their employers :)
The new owner in Sydney must have appreciated the story ;D
Enjoy!
