Title: spring type noise in soft top compartment area
Post by: rmmchl on December 20, 2013, 04:14:44
for the last 30 years, my car always has a weird noise, that sounds like a spring of some type when I first get the car rolling. It only lasts a few seconds. It sounds like it is coming from the soft top compartment, and maybe it could be the 2 large springs, in the soft top compartment.. I also thought about the trans-axel spring that is under the rear axel  area. It's annoying, and doesn't affect anything, I just wish I knew what it is, and do other people have this with their pagodas.

Is it a tinkie sound?  the handle comes loose and the is a washer that tinks around Its not the big springs they are too tight to be loose.  Open the hatch, lift the top and touch all the lingage stuff until yo find something loose.  in the boot area.
