Title: Outer door chrome trim clips

Can anyone tell me who can supply the clips in the image below and what the MB part number might be?
Also, did they change much over production? I have seem several different designs, including a double inner and outer clip, but not sure if they are inter-changeable.

Jeff,

The one that's a double clip is made to hold both the outer felt strip and chrome window trim in place. If this is the version you need the MB part number is 001 988 93 78. The version you showed is 001 988 96 78 . I just ordered both from my local MB dealer.

There were only 4 clips in stock in Australia but I grabbed them anyway, even though the dealers here charge over $7 each for them.

The chrome trims have  two folded inner edges, one short, one longer.  As the left and right trims are mirror images of each other, can anyone tell me which internal edge is inserted into the clips? Is it the short or longer edge?

Sorry to say that I don't recall....mine are now installed and I am afraid to touch them! Once you see them up close near the door, I think it will be self-explanatory
