Title: whitewall radial tires - 185 or 195 70 14
Post by: J. Kelly on November 30, 2013, 03:07:32
Looking for some assistance on current new replacement whitewall radials for '68 280sl, like most it originally came with Firestone Phoenix whitewall radials made in Germany, I still have the original unused spare; if anyone has recently retired their car I would appreciate hearing of the options you found, thank you,  JK

The tyres topic can be found in many places on this forum with loads of information, sources and even prices. The main question is to have white boards or not.

Just hit the word "tyres" in the search window above right, and you will be surprised,,,
One example of it is here: http://www.sl113.org/forums/index.php?topic=19516.0

Kevin,

Check the date codes on the tires, as I tried to find those same coopers in last May, and was told they are out of production, and have been since the first of the year, and there were one or tow in the distribution chain here in ohio.
