Hey guys, I went for a drive today with my Pagoda and i realized something strange when i finished. I found out there was rust showing in the back of the car, near the hardtop end. What should i do? im worried that its going to get worse? Any suggestions? I have attached a picture of what I saw.
Thanks

Hard to tell from the photo...does it appear as though the spot is from the inside out or on surface?

I have more rust on my key... :) It appears to be a chip that has gone down to bare metal and maybe starting a little rust? If so, you could lightly sand and fill with a drop of touch-up paint? I am only going from what I see here.

i see, where can i get touch up paint for my car, its a 1969 light ivory 280 sl, Do i need to contact the Mercedes Benz Classic Center?

Take it to a shop and get someone to do it properly if it bothers you. If the area is hard to see, you could do a home repair, but your chances of matching paint at home are small unless the paint is quite new - and was put on in the correct shade in the first place.

If your paint code is 670 you will have to go to a paint shop and have them make up some for you. I had a 250C in that colour and found out MB no longer supplies touch up paint in that colour code. It may take them a few tries to get the paint to match if yours has faded at all.

Agree with all that's been stated here. My local shop provided some to me some time ago as well. If this type of imperfection concerns you...please post pics of the REST of the car!
