Dante
welcome!
Your car looks great. For she has the US headlamps I gather this is a US version but still without the american bumper "adds-on", Did you recently import her or was she already in Europe when you bought her?
BTW, I did not know that the right mirror was an option in those years.
I am sure that the clement Italian climate will allow you to enjoy riding her much longer that us, located further North :'(

Hello Flyair. You are absolutely right. The car comes from the US. It still has tachometer gauge in miles and temperature gauge in Farenheit, and
I will keep them this way. It was imported in 2009 by the previous owner. I bought it in the conditions you see in the picture. Right mirror is an addition (absolutely useless because almost totally hidden by the windshield frame). Also door skins are somewhat fancy but little by little I will be fixing such details.
-
It does indeed look like your mirrors are too far forward. I do make use of my right hand mirror… it's field of vision is small, but still better than nothing.

Peter the right mirror was installed at the same distance from front fender than left one. It should be moved back 1.5 inches al least but it I do not wish to drill more holes on my left door ....... Maybe when time will come for a complete respray but oveall paint condition is very good so I think it won't be soon.
-
Yes, I noticed that. But that mirror also looks pretty far forward. Compare it with my car in this picture… both mirrors are behind the A posts:

He has the good looking, earlier goose-neck mirror, as I do and it looks to be mounted in the same place. The mirror head sits more forward on the goose-neck.
-
Peter,
and the bottle is in the right place too... ;)

Artur,
i disagree on the bottle placement.Like Dante's mirrors, this bottle is placed excessively forward. :D
In my opinion, such bottles are much better off in the cabin, ideally at my arm's reach, so that I can easily manipulate them and arrange for an quick intake, as necessary ;D.
-
Stan,
OK. We will check it out during our next "pagoding" :)
