My 1970 280SL started smoking the other day and it turned out that a short in the dashboard wiring harness had burned almost everything out. I have not been able to get even a hint of a replacement for the dashboard harness, either original MB equipment or replacement. Any suggestions? Meanwhile, the Silver Bullet, which I drove off the showroom floor in New York City in March 1970, sits in the garage looking eviscerated. Thank you.
