Title: Door switches

How are these affixed to the door jambs?

I need to remove one of mine and can see two very small brass fixings on the left and right sides. Are these holding the switches in place or does the switch just prize out?

Just prises out, press fit.

Perfect. Thanks for the advice Larry.

I managed to get the switch changed in ten minutes with the kick panel removed to push it out from the inside.

New switch looks great. The only problem was that there was no cable connected to the old switch. Can't seem to locate it anywhere, so I have a great looking new switch that does nothing at the moment.

Can only assume that a PO removed it at some stage and couldn't be bothered to put it back.

Not sure how big a job it would be to run a new cable to it. I think I'll leave it as is for the time being.
