Title: summer is nearly over in Europe
Post by: Flyair on September 08, 2013, 21:39:39
While Garry and other Australian members are folding down softops of their Pagodas, here we greatly enjoyed this weekend that is supposedly the last summer time this year.

In Warsaw we were graced with a cloudless sky, 24 C (75F) and some soft wind. In short: perfect time for what we call here Pagoding (Pagoda experience :)).

Together with Artur we had great time Pagoding around Warsaw through secondary roads, forests and little villages. We started by driving on the new highway ring section passing South of the city (opened for traffic just a few hours before!). Our first stop was at the Jablonna palace (see the photos below). Then we proceeded to the Zegrze Yacht-club for lunch (on the terrace, that is :)). We finished by driving through the forest North of Warsaw before splitting for the day.

Today, I took my son to the soccer match.I was pleased no hear that my 8 years old son specifically requested to be taken to this even in our Pagoda, which he seems to enjoy very much.
His team was playing 40 km from Warsaw, so it was also a great experience for us together. Needless to say that we arrived for the match in style (Pagoda style ;)),

In total, a full two days of Pagoding: smoothly running cars, great small roads and visited places, excellent food. What else can expect an average Pagoda driver?

Cars look great ... so true that this feels like the last summer weekend in Europe.  Glad you got out there and enjoyed it.

Looks fantastic and sounded like a couple of great driving days.  Tis certainly warming up here with the temp in the mid 20's c.  My car unfrotunately is in the doctors having a rearengine  oil seal fixed (again) so hopefully I will get it back in the next week or two and start to get it out and enjoy it for the summer down under.

the summer down under.

Off topic but I have often wondered Gary if you refer to yourselves as "down under" do you refer to us as "up above"?

Regards

Beautiful photos Stan, and a perfect setting for Pagoding :) Will be on the Cote d'Azur and Provence next week. Hope the good weather continues.

John: as far as I can remember, the weather is good on the Côte d'Azur about 360 days a year. Good Pagoding guaranteed.

Garry: LOL. I like that representation of the globe ;).  Thankfully there is gravity in Australia, otherwise things could get crazy ;D
