Sorry to ask for help but while driving in Sweden with my '68 Pagoda after 50th Anniversary meeting in Germany suddenly the car stopped in the middle of the road no warning or anything.
Now stuck in the middle of the country. Hope someone can look at the engine tomorrow morning.
The dashboard works and the engine turns but seems no electricity reaches the spark plugs.
I just wonder if someone had this kind of problem and maybe could give some advice
Many many thanks

Listen for the electric fuel pump. I've had the fuse go out. If you hear the pump, does it turn over with normal compression sounds.
If the pump is on and the motor turns the same but does not start, pull a plug wire and listen for spark. check loose connections and point wiper to open points. will email with more.

Andrea,
Please look at this thread and read it all: http://www.sl113.org/forums/index.php?topic=5486.0

Read everything carefully and eliminate that which does not apply to you.
Note that typically organisations like ADAC in Germany, RAC in the UK, Wegenwacht in Netherlands, and http://www.motormannen.se/ in Sweden are very good at diagnosing these starting problems, also for old cars. If you have a local membership in your own country, you can typically use them quite cheaply everywhere.

To all Pagoda lovers,
i am now in Hamburg, enjoying this beautiful city while my beloved pagoda il checked by this amazing guy (Gunnar Hans)
who is a real expert on Pagodas.
His workshop was like a candy store to kids for me....
He is so kind and tomorrow will pick up car and continue to Italy.
The swedish experience was quite a funky one. The mechanic we went to and fixed the distribution cap and condensator had bought the business fron a guy who was mecedes
oldtimer lover so he had parts that even the mercedes dealer next door could have never dreamed to carry in their wearhouse.
So it took a long time to figure things out but..... everything was great at the end.
Now comes the part i wanted to share with you....
I cannot believe how many people wrote and actually send me their phone number to call them.
The information Peter sent were amazingly detailed.
Anyway is so nice to feel part of a community so i wanted to tell everyone that if you ever come around Tuscany
especially during the mille miglia, call me at +39-335.6123836 or write to endriu@gmx.com i will take you around the
best Tuscan hills with my Pagoda.....
Will try post some pics soon
in the meantime you might like my video from last year.......
