Two things happened today,
Firstly I put SWMBO on a jet to Switzerland.
Secondly Shannon's Insurances had a car auction in Sydney that included a replica late 30's 3.5 litre Maserati two seater roadster which I now own, see below.
To make room for the new beasty our white 280 SL 113 must go, any takers?

Congratulations. Very nice - but what about the engine - I want to see the engine. The spec list for the car from the auction site is impressive. I expect that you will have just a bit of fun in that new car. Well done. Good luck selling your white car.

Peter,
How would you like to be navigator in it in a Peking to Paris?
Not a lot of room.

Sounds like an adventure... we'll just have to lose some weight!

Treedoc,
So when I read you had purchased a "replica" I thought...seriously? A kit car? Well, apparently it is no ordinary "replica". Hand built by the late Ferris de Joux this car will become part of the legend that this artist/engineer has already started. Congratulations!

Thanks Greg,
Your comments confirm what I already feel, I have bought not only a car but also a piece of very collectable high end art
The workmanship is superb

That is one sweet race car!

Took the Maser out for a run recently, starts easily, accelerates quite well but running very rich going to fuel inject it which should fix that, will leave the Webbers in place so can run on either system
