Title: headlight doors still available?

I have an approximately 1/2 inch piece missing from my passenger side door. Was told by K and K that the doors are no longer available by themselves because Bosch does not want to make them, only as a complete assembly ($700) which is not needed. I know that they are a reputable outfit, I just wanted to see if this is correct If so, I will be happy with my 43 year old cracked one.
