Hello - I'm looking for the Mercedes part #'s for the two rear brake hoses for a 1968 250sl. Also, I may need the brake proportioning valve. Is A0004313612 the correct part # for the valve? Thank you

That is the correct number for the valve.
I think that the reason you aren't getting replies is because everyone is thinking "why is he asking this?" You can go to just about any Mercedes dealer or decent European parts place and simply tell them you need rear brake hoses. You can order them online from a site like autohausaz.com without knowing the number.
Best of all, you can go to startekinfo.com and sign up for a free subscription to the Electronic Parts Catalog and look up numbers to your heart's content.

Exactly, there is an early and late 250SL so get the chasis #. I'd guess the 68 is late.

I understand re: the brake hoses & as mentioned it may depend on who you order from. I'll make sure that i mention my chassis # if I contact a dealer. It is my understanding that the valve is no longer produced, but maybe after I replace the brake booster & the rear hoses the valve may function as normal. If not, I'll take it apart & clean it.

typically its just he hoses have swollen shut due to the brake fluid. You caliper seals may be letting water in and the calipers need to be checked for smooth piston movement as you flush out the old fluid.

The proportioning valve is available, list price $775.
The same brake hoses were used on all 250s according to the EPC.
