Title: Sand Beige SL280
Post by: ConfusedBrit on June 21, 2013, 12:46:03
Hey Everyone,
I am new on here so thought I would share some pics,
The sun peered its head for a moment so I grabbed the camera and took a few shots. Not my best shots ever but edited them pretty quick.
Nothing drives likes this car, I absolutely adore it.
1970 Sandbeige SL280 Automatic - Saftey Pack - Original Mercedes Windshot - Becker Mexico Radio and probably a few other things I cant remember at the moment, quite interested in getting a luggage rack for the roof.

VERY nice

Confused about your car/location - although the sun did come out in London today - as the plate and the garage look german to me!

Either way, beautiful!

You have a good eye for your German garages, my gf is German and her family have a house there the car lives there and was bought in Germany, we are thinking of bringing it over next month but no garage in London worries me, she is babied here in a heated garage.
I come back once or twice every two months so still get to drive it quite often

Girlfriends family company located in Gutersloh, car is registered for company, hence the plate, but actualy located close to Essen.
Now the rain has stopped, thinking about going for a drive, might take some moving pictures!

Very nice color  ::)
It's the same color as my 1969 280 SL.
A picture of my car is listed under the paint color 467H at http://www.sl113.org/wiki/DataCard/PaintCodes
My interior is brown.
I've just added new whitewalls but haven't taken any pictures yet.

Otto,

Your car looks great! I am curious which tires you purchased as I am currently shopping for a set for a project car.

So today was a good day.
My Girlfriend and I decided to drive her to london and keep her here for what is left of the summer.
A good check over the car, fluid top ups etc. and 9 hours later.
ITS here, finally in London!
We had the top down for most of the drive and now I am a shiny shiny red colour!
