So I removed the previous owners 9 speaker stereo and replaced it with an original Europa that I picked up on Craigs list. Looks and sounds wonderful, and even lights up. There are several screw holes through the metal for the amp, sub woofers, etc. that look like they go through to the underbody of the car. Any recommendations on how to plug them other than putting screws back in place. Secondly he cut the back panels for speakers. I think I can cut wood in a speaker shape to plug the holes, but where can I get replacement carpet?
Thanks
Chuck

Results may vary but...
My other car had speaker holes cut into it so got out my oxy acetelyne kit and brazed a piece of metal that I had preformed into each one and then ground seam flat, covered with primer and then paint and the judges can tell but I don't loose any points because it has been repaired and brought closer to original. If you start getting "into" your car you will never be happy with a piece of plywood covering holes that should not be there. A good welder should be able to fill in the screw holes fairly quickly - I spray dry compressed air to make sure there is no water behind in cavity, spray rust converter and let dry, then spray interior frame coating into the cavity and then weldable primer and then weld up. The inside should last forever, then grind flat and prime and paint and no one will know any different.

Get in-touch with German Auto Tops in LA California, I think they will sell you the pieces you need, ask for John or Armen.
