I recently lost a front left brake caliper. Started driving home from work and the peddle went all the way to the floor. Long slow ride home.
After I got home I found brake fluid spattered around the inside of the wheel. I would just like to rebuild the old one but until then
I have a 1965 220seb that will be my next project. Will the caliper from that car fit on my 1966 230sl?
thanks in advance for the advice and help.

Bill,
Many years ago, I had all my brake calipers rebuilt by a local foreign auto parts store, S&G Auto. I don't know where they send them to, but they were done well, cheap, and looked great. Been in and working going on 10 years now. AlexD from Cleveland did the same thing upon my recommendation within the past year--same results.

I'd take my caliper(s) there and you'll have them back soon. They will look great, perform great too, and it won't cost that much.

Hello Bill,
Most likely your 220SEB calipers will not intechange unless they have already been converted to the later style. I agree, find a rebuilder or exchange them for rebuilt. The economics for doing it yourself is no advantage. They come back looking like new also.
