I'm looking for some valve putty for the 1864-71 genaration SL's. Any help, it seems like it's very hard to come by.

Is it possible that the poster meant "valve paste" a/k/a valve grinding compound?  Commonly available and not related to car production years...and maybe a typo for 1964-71?
Still doesn't make any sense...
