Title: soft top release latch RESOLVED
Post by: Tal on March 24, 2013, 18:26:54
I know this topic has been covered recently.  Thank you
Michael Salemi for the many contributions you've made here.

The dreaded free wheeling release latch happened to me. I think I have simpler solution.

Scenario 1: The top is stowed in the well. Simply push the release with an allen wrench (screwdriver too thick)
                 Photos 1 & 2

Scenario 2: The top is in the up position. Use the hook end of a caulking gun to snag the wire, pull to release the
center top post. Photo 3 & 4. Once you can fold the rear part of the soft top forward, proceed with
                 scenario 1

I love this forum!

Nicely done and documented.  Will be filing this one.

Appreciated,

This process should go into the Technical Manual Tai.  Can you add to the section of Tops in the TM?

Thanks everyone.
Bob, I have no idea how to add this to the technical manual.
