Title: Sunday morning Noumea
Post by: fblanchard on February 03, 2013, 23:10:29
Hi all

Every first sunday of each month the oldies enthusiastics meet at this point.

Everytime several cars are showed while the owners talk about their passion and other subjects.

You can see old frenchies but also american oldies as during world war two there was a strong american military presence in New Caledonia and they left cars coke bottles babies... Few stayed.

Have a nice week.

Fred from Noumea

Very nice Fred.  It's great that you guys have that routine each month and nice to see such an eclectic mix of cars.

Fred,

you mention French and American oldies, but somehow both German cars stand out, especial that red one which seems familiar :)

OK… that Peugeot convertible also makes good impression ;)

As for the left overs… babies will become handsome youngsters, bottles will be recycled and the cars…. will be oldtimers for life :)

Hi all

Thank you once more for encouragements.
Hi Georges nice to read you indeed I made one more photo-trick  ???
The ecclectism of cars reflects the variety of the population (Kanaks Europeans Wallisians Polynesians Indonesians Chineese few Japanese Australians New Zealanders few Americans few Martians and Venusians) wich is one of the local particularities.

You got pagoda and palm trees in New Caledonia. I promised you the lagoon too... Next time.

Regards
Fred

It's near N'Gea just in front of the "champion N'Gea" supermarket Ste Marie bay you can see a bit of sea on the first photo.

Do you know New Caledonia ?
