Title: Cross over linkage
Post by: friendofaustria on January 08, 2013, 18:44:11
Hi everyone,

can someone please give me a guideline how to remove  passanger side bracket (can be pivoted, has brass ball) of the cross over linkage. I need to get this off to be able to remove the all the removable parts for "yellow zink" job.
I have attached a pic.

thx
Gerhard

There's a roll pin that you will need to remove first before you can remove the lever on the pump end of the shaft. The bracket with its bearing will slide off the shaft after that.

As you can see, I don't always look at the pictures. :-[

The shaft should simply pop out of the bracket. There's a heim type bushing on the shaft that's held in place with an E clip. When you're ready to install, just give it a good push and the bushing will pop back into place.
