Title: Data Card for a 280SL Delivered in Australia

Hi All,

Our 1969 280SL was delivered in Sydney Australia. In the owners manual I located a delivery card which has details about the delivery service, the Interior Code and Key Codes but is not as extensive as the Data Card I've seen in the Forum.

Does anyone know whether I can obtain a data card for a car delivered in Australia?
If so how do we go about getting one?

Hi Joanne and Saleem

I managed to get a soft copy version of the data card from the Mercedes Benz Classic Centre in California USA (see attached). I contacted Jon Siggson via email (classicparts@mbusa.com) and I sent a copy of my rego papers as proof of ownership. Jon was extremely helpful  and I got the data card details within a day or so. He is also excellent for parts requests. Top bloke.

I can tell you that my attempts at getting data card details from local MB dealers here in Sydney were woeful. They had no idea and have yet to respond.......
You are very lucky to have the original delivery card !!!

What I am still not clear on is whether a hard copy reproduction of the data card can be obtained ?

I will contact Jon and see how we go. I'd do it now but I don't have the rego papers with me.
