Title: Spacers under seat
Post by: gnj588d on November 20, 2012, 10:49:34
Just removed my seats for greasing the runners, and find there is alloy spacers under the rear end between the runner and the plinth, its on passenger side and driver side.I cannot see them on any parts lists, any ideas they are about 12 mm thick, may be there to raise the seats ???

No spacers on mine.
Maybe an attempt to compensate for a compressed seat pad?

It must be something the previous owner added to tilt the seat forward, I have taken many seats apart from different models never seen spacers of any kind.

Thanks for the replies, the seats are good so i think the lady that owned the car for thirty odd years needed them a bit higher.Have removed the spacers, they run better know.Cheers. Mike.
