Title: one advantage of owning a classic
Post by: peterm on November 09, 2012, 20:59:28
Winterizing the pagoda is quite a ritual-  Fill up those tires fill up the gas tank and add stabil.

As many may know New York was recently hammered by Hurricane Sandy. I was without power/heat for 10 days and one additional enduring problem has been the lack of fuel.  Stations cant pump with no power (generators are not mandatory) and theport was closed to shipping delivery. Its not unusual to encounter a 3 hr.s wait for gas-  I actually drove 40 miles to Stamford connecticut on tuesday to fill up and went out in our surprise 7 inch snow storm wednesday night to wait only an hour at a local station.  well my salvation has been the pagoda and a siphon.  It really nice to have that 15 or so gallon reservoir out in the garage,
