As some of you may have noticed we will be shipping our 280SL to Switzerland next year via Rotterdam and the Pagoda Meet in Germany.
We also have two sets of 4 alloy rims made in Germany, no brand and only markings are cast lettering/numbers KBA40107, tyres fitted are Bolex, Chinese, 205/70R1495HM&S
Questions 1 Does anyone know of If these rims and tyres will fit on a late series, 1970 280SL?
Question 2 Are M&S, mud and snow, tyres approved in Europe / Switzerland as winter tyres?
Thanks in anticipation

Geoff, can't help you with the first question. On the second issue, for M+S tires (or any winter tires) to be sufficient, they must have the following symbol on them:

Thanks Peter,
No snow crystle sign on these tyres, will use them in summer, fit snow tyres when over there.
