That was a bizarre case recemtly brought to light when the boat captain "revealed" all in his book  Well never know what Robert Wagner and Christopher Walken really know.  That being said she was before my time....

Natalie Wood!

That reminds me of a man that I met about 12 years ago.

I am a Realtor located north of Toronto and was asked to do an evaluation for a 10 acre property with an old house and a barn on it.  The old gent who owned the property met me there one sunny morning with a smile and a firm handshake.  You can tell that he worked hard all of his life as the years showed on his face and his hands.  He took me for a tour of the farmhouse and the land and then we came to the old barn.  Typical old Ontario bank barn about 60x80 ft.  When we got inside the old guy had piles and piles of cardboard neatly strapped together and piled on skids about 20 ft high.  This place was a fire hazard waiting to happen!  Apparently he was one of the first guys to start cardboard recycling.

Anyway as we looked thru the barn I noticed that he had an old model T tucked away in a lone corner.  Being a car guy I walked closer to see the Ford and then I noticed that he had another car beside it under an old dusty tarp.  I asked what was under it and he pulled the cover off to reveal a Mercedes Gullwing!!  Silver with red interior.  I will never forget it because it took me by surprise to see such a gorgeous car in such a remote location.  When I asked him about the car he told me that the car originally belonged to Natalie Wood and was offered 250k for it but would never sell it.  I had no little knowledge of MB cars back then and thought that was a hug pile of dough even for a car with that type of history.  I heard that the old gent passed away a few years ago and some collector scooped up the car from the estate.

Now whenever I see a picture of a Gullwing I think of the old guy and his cardboard barn.  Thats my barn find story!
