Title: Cleaning Firewall Pad?

Any experience or suggestions for cleaning an original firewall pad?  It is in great condition but has some residual radiator fluid (I think) on it from a leaky water pump from a few years ago. Someone recently suggested saddle soap. Any thoughts? Thanks

Try mineral spirits - gently - my experience with it has been good as a cleaning agent that doesn't harm the existing surface.
