Title: Need Someone to Move a HT from NY 10541 to VA 23229
Post by: pagodapete on April 13, 2012, 20:11:09
We have a new owner for a car currently in Richmond, VA but the hardtop is 400 miles away in NY. Would anyone like to make the trip either with a pickup truck or the hardtop secured to their Pagoda to help out the new owner?

Thanks, Brian (six one nine) 957-2147

What are you willing to pay?

We are looking for a careful Pagoda enthusiast who might be able to help out rather than just contacting a professional moving company who is just looking for a fee. That said, we don't have a figure in mind.
What do you think is fair? Call me or email off-forum please. My number is in the first posting. BP

Brian,
Is this a new purchase SL that you have.  Are you a member of the Central Virginia Section of MBCA?  There are several 230 - 280SL Pagoda owners in your area, including me.

I think we had a similar discussion once before -- where a West Coast top had to get to the East Coast. Never happened I don't think. How cool would it be for members to carry the top as far as the next "runner" and pass the baton? Wonder if we have enough Pagodas in middle America to get it done? With lots of pictures and video, it would make a pretty cool story for the Star (or ABC?)...
