Title: Beauty Ring Depth

Can someone give me the correct depth of the beauty ring on a 230 SL.  There are lots  of 14 " beauty rings for sale at greatly varying prices and all are different depths.

The correct depth is 1 3/4 inches.

I've used the beauty rings from http://store.nationwidehubcaps.net/info.html with good success.  Great price and if you didn't have them side by side, I don't think you would pick them out as differerent on the car.  Very subtle differences.

Here they are on my 190 SL with 14" wheels

Unfortunately their site does not work.  There are lots of sellers here in Oz for around the $40-50 a set but I just need the depth as they come in 3/4" up to 2 1/2" x 14 sizes

No, 2"

There is maybe an 1/16" difference between the repro and original (smaller).  The securing tabs on the repro throw measurement off and they may actually be identical at 2".  

Pictured is an MB replacement ring for $150 each and the Nationwide Hubcap ring for $12.50 each.  Hope this helps.
