A couple of pictures of the seam where the quarter panel (rear wing) meets the filler panel above the trunk (boot). When my car was "restored" in the eighties the man who did the work air chisled all of the inner structure to death. Pretty much the top of everything you see here was gone and Rick has had to fabricate it. The decision was made to leave the filler panel since it has some things that effect trunk alignment so he cut the panel off to clean metal and fabricated the section that was missing.

Cees,
I guess that's what happens when you fall in love with the wrong one. I drove it from 0 degrees C in the spring right on through to the fall every day with the top down. Even drove it in light snow a time or two. Hopefully when the work is done and I have the body dipped in E-coat primer I will not be afraid to return to my old ways.
