I need to replace all of the wires and was wondering which one you guys would recommend I get and where to get it.
Appreciate the feedback.

Hi Mario

I think that the type of ignition system (eg original, transistorized, aftermarket electronic, etc) as well as year of your car comes into play when choosing the right leads.

I have just fitted an aftermarket 123 distributor together with a Bosch hi-energy red coil on my 1965 230SL. I used the OEM style leads made by Karyln. These have copper cores with Bakelite ends and no resistors.

If you do a forum search on "spark leads" you will get quite a bit of information.

Regards
Franjo

Mario,

I just bought my complete set here in San Marcos.  Just drive up there and pick them up.  You are on 5-8 miles away :)

Talk to Kris.

Kris, I don't know if Kingsborne have the correct plugs listed for the 230SL as the engine they list is incorrect.

They didn't have the correct complete set for the 280sl.  They custom made them for me on the spot.  I just brought in my old plugs and they matched to length.

They used the VESO 105 distributor connector and I believe the ZLE 130 connector (which is not on the website)which is a little longer.  I think it's supposed to be the ZLE 120 but they don't have those.

I don't know the differences if any between the 280 and 230 plug set.

.... I don't know the differences if any between the 280 and 230 plug set. ...

It is all described here: http://www.sl113.org/forums/index.php?topic=12919.msg87587#msg87587
The main difference is on the distributor end.
280SL connectors are bent 90 degree - just like your VESO 105 (0 300 513 105) -{I believe you mistyped when you wrote VES 105}- whereas 230SL connectors should be straight up connectors.  The current WVES 1 (0 300 413 101) BERU connector might be suitable for a 230SL distributor connector since it has a wood screw for the 7mm diameter cable connection.

On the spark plug end the (almost) original connector was a ZLE 120 (0 300 062 101) - it was about 25 mm shorter (total length 103 mm) than the ZLE 130 (total length 128 mm) that you got.
