Are all the clutch fluid reservoirs for the 113 the same or are there early and late versions. I have seen some new on ebay but they look different than the one I have.

Hi, Shvegel,
Simple question but no easy answer ???
230s and early 250s (upto 002979) have 111 290 0215. This has a very short (50-60mm) rubber tube resevoir to pipe to the m/cly and is a different diameter at each end.
I can't find the part # for the resevoir for later cars, but it uses a simple tube with the same dia. at both ends and is longer, maybe 75-80mm.
It's hard to tell the difference between the two when on the car. Both pix RHD cars ::)
What VIN is your car?

P.s:
The black topped ones are Schafer but there are ATE ones too!

Naj,hank you for the photos. I have a late 1970 car but got a reservoir from Joe Alexander years ago for a planned manual transmission conversion. When I saw the one on Ebay I noticed it was different than the one I have so I wondered if there were 2 shapes since the one on ebay did not have the bump at the back of the clamp to keep it from turning. I see from your photo that the one on Ebay is just the wrong part for my car.

Thanks, Naj--
You are always very helpful with photos on request.
Are you fast with a camera, or do you have a massive photo file?
I wonder if your photos could be added somehow to the Technical Manual.
Thanks again,
the other Joe

The "blue dot cap" is NLA and very sought after these days.
