From articles that I have read, it sounds like this car sold for $66.5k at the Palm Springs auction this weekend.  It was one of the top sellers.

I saw the car and spoke with the owner.  Really nice car.  Near perfect paint.  Super clean original no rust car.  2nd owner with all the docs and records.  Even had the rare ski rack for effect.  Everything lookied to be in really nice shape. Owner was looking for close to 100K for the car.  (Car was a no sale)

$100k seems a little steep but, I hope he gets it.
