Title: Need help with a grommet

So I have this little rubber part I had purchased from Dave G. He said they are often missing. Mine is (was)... I believe it goes in the latch hole in the center of the top-case. Anybody have a clue how to install it? THX

The rubber washer fits on the pin that locates the hard top through the chrome moulding shown on your picture

No, it does not go on the hardtop it goes over the hook on the softtop.

Ahhh. Its all starting to make sense Alfred! Thanks... I always seem to be thrown by doo-dads and doo-hickies.

Well, that was easy! Armed with new knowledge, I checked my soft-top. The original rubber was still there but kind of shot. I slipped it off, and slid the new one on. Mission accomplished.
