Here's one I've never heard of for these models:

That is indeed rare. In 30 years in the trade I've never seen one.

That is one strange device. Clever, but I am not sure I would want that complication. I had never heard of that either. They said they made them for export to Sweden. I guess they had a law requiring headlight wipers. My wife had a Saab 900 turbo many years ago and it had the wipers. So maybe so.

I first saw this device in Iran on my grandfather's 6.9 in late 70s (it was a beautiful dark chocolate brown) I think they were an option available for 107s and 116s back then.

Weren't  these wipers available on the dual headlight BMWs of the 70s and 80s?

 A lot of cars had them in Ireland in the 70's & early '80s, Volvo, Saab, Merc 107 & 116, BMW, Rolls,Opel. Alot of other simply had a jetwash system, Ford, Audi etc......

Never saw them on a W108/9/11 though.
