We have are 1971 280sl in the machine shop now ,Iam being told .030 over pistons are not avalible and .040 might make my car over heat in the summer days. where do In go from here?

Interesting that the 280 engine goes in those increments of oversize. I believe the M127s on the 230 sl go from 82mm to 82.5mm to 83mm. Others may want to chime in on the specifics of the M130 engines including whether sleeving may be a better alternative than an overbore if overheating is a real issue.
