Title: Amber turn signal inserts in Euro lights?
Post by: ctm14 on January 10, 2012, 20:40:10
I am wondering if all euro headlights were initially configured with the amber turn signal inserts.  The tech manual shows them as part of the euro housing and doesn't mention any exceptions.  My car has the euro lights and was initially purchased in Italy so wondered if this has something to do with why they are missing.  I have seen other cars without them from Italy as well.  If correct for my car where would I find them available?

Thanks

Chris,
the Italian cars have side markers/blinkers on the front - perhaps that eliminated the amber lens?
They are available from: http://www.niemoeller.de/w113/B044-821.html - Item 62
I sent you a PM.

Hello Gentlemen,

Very interesting question indeed. :o
As to my (humble) knowledge, the Euro headlights, or let's better say non-US-rest-of-the-world headlight units always had the amber turn signal inserts...
... but sadly I also do not know more about it.
I try to bring some light into this very interesting question.

That is my understanding as well when it comes to the headlights, irrespective of the market (outside of North America).
The turn signal inserts for the tail lights is a whole different story all together...
