Hi folks,
While futzing, wiping, polishing and such, of the bright work outside and inside of Ingrid, I see that many of the screws used to hold her chrome trim are NASTY flat head, countersunk screws from the local hardware store !!! :(:( This can't be right - - right? Where do we go to find the proper screws. I believe most of them are chrome countersunk round head Phillips type.
Thanks, Hank

Hank,
exactly which ones do you need to replace? Something similar to what I show in the attachment?
I believe the p/n are correct but I cannot guarantee it. Also note that cadmium plated could mean gray Cad and not yellow Cad.
They are all available from the Classic Center.
Do you have an illustrated parts list with p/n for your car? See: http://www.sl113.org/wiki/Documents/SparePartsList

Hi Alfred,
Right on, mate ............. pt # 116, both sides, were the chrome trim pieces in which I saw those nasty hardware store screws. I'll keep track of additional trim pieces that I find secured with more of those "ugly betty" screws and then, I'll go screw purchase crazy! ;D
Re your post above, which manual did you extract that page from? I would think it would apply to all W113 cars. If so, I want one of those !! ;D
Thanks for your help,
Hank

Hello Hank,
the drawings are from the Spare Parts List that I mentioned and the other information comes from DIN decoding and DIN survey books. I need to verify some of the information again and then I'll add to our technical manual. That one you can have any time you want! ;)
