Title: Restoration Project, Day 1

November 1rst 2011, I finally had my 71 280 sl towed to the fellow who will spend the winter restoring my car. i am excited, nervous and perhaps a little crazy in what I have embarked on. I know i am not the first nor the last to goe through this process, I am grateful to this group and member feedback on the various issues and challenges. I will keep you posted every month with an update and pictures.

Looking forward to the pictures, when do you hope to take the first drive?

I'm hoping to drive in the spring / summer 2012.  The fellow told me that he would be spending 3 months on the restoration process, he might be working on one or two other cars during the winter as well (minor work). In total he estimates 300- 400 hrs on my car.
