Has anybody ever thought about a power operated soft top - like on an R129? :o
Accidentally I came accross this vid here:

Never heard of that company before. Has anybody ever done business with them?
Not that I am planning to get that done on my own car but nevertheless very interesting! ;)

Wow, tres cool! I would take a bit of exception to the comment in one of the sites about how "well engineered" the top is. Maybe, but there are some rub points, the infamous top curl up, better make sure the hold down posts are in the right position, etc. Wonder what the cost is??

Hi--
I sent him a note asking if he offers a kit and what price.
I'll report back....

Not a company I've come across before but I'm familiar with the power hood for the 107 having had several in here that weren't working.
It's a clever hydraulic set up but AFAIK the company that made them is no longer trading. An ex employee of the company plies his skills around the UK and europe repairing those that are still around.
I recently had to purchase a new motherboard from him and i gave the failed one to an electronics engineer friend of mine to see if he could replicate it. I should chase him up and see if he had any luck.

Here's the deal.
3959 pounds, four days.
If you can't get the car to them, they come to you, at your expense.
No DIY kits due to complexity.
At 3950 pounds, I think instead that I'll hire that special Mercedes wench we discussed a few months back.

No DIY kits because he just gets the man in to install it and marks it up!

PS
I forgot to note that the price is plus VAT.
